Singara Chennai Card is a contactless, dual-interface prepaid card with EMV chip technology, providing secure and hassle-free payments. It makes fare payments on Metro, Monorail, and buses easy while facilitating retail and e-commerce transactions.
The card has distinct balances: an offline transit balance for travel and an online retail balance for shopping, bill payments, and ATM withdrawals.

Know your Singara Chennai Card
- Card Number: A special 16-digit number embossed on the card.
- Valid Until: The end date of the mentioned month and year.
- EMV Chip: Holds encrypted financial data for secure transactions.
- NFC Symbol: The “))))” symbol represents Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality, allowing contactless payments by tapping on Point of Sale (PoS) machines, ticket vending machines, and entry/exit gates. Find “))” on payment terminals to tap and pay.
- Magnetic Stripe: Contains encoded financial information on the back of the card.
- Signature Panel: Designated space for your signature upon receiving the card.
- CVV/CVC: A 3-digit security code on the back of the card used for online transactions.
