Why Top-up or Recharge is Important

How to Top-Up or Recharge Your Singara Chennai Card
There are multiple ways to recharge your Singara Chennai Card to ensure maximum convenience:
1. At Metro Stations
- Most metro stations in Chennai have customer care centers or automated kiosks where you can recharge your card. These accept cash, debit/credit cards, and sometimes even UPI payments.
2. Online via CMRL Website or App
- CMRL is integrating online recharge features via its website and mobile app. You will need to enter your card number, select the top-up amount, and proceed to payment. Once the payment is successful, you must validate the recharge at an AVM (Add Value Machine) in any metro station.
3. Through Partner Banks (SBI)
- As the card is issued in partnership with SBI, users can also recharge their cards through SBI digital banking platforms. This includes net banking, YONO app, and ATMs equipped with card recharge features.
4. Using UPI and QR Codes
- CMRL plans to introduce UPI-based recharge systems, enabling quick top-ups by scanning a QR code. Keep an eye on official updates for when this feature is fully live.
5. Retail Outlets (Coming Soon)
- In the future, authorized retail outlets and merchants are expected to offer Singara Chennai Card top-up facilities, similar to prepaid mobile recharge centers.
Tips for Easy and Safe Recharge
- Keep Your Card Handy: Always carry your card and know your card number for online transactions.
